In 2016, the RurArtMap project will publish the fifth version of its printed map of rural cultural and environmental initiatives. Every year it is an untraditional guide to remote locations. The exhibition consists of a larger gallery version of the map and includes a review of the summer and autumn activities that took place at all of the locations shown on the map. The individual locations will present their programmes in various ways, such as sets of photographs, artefacts, publications, and audio and video recordings.
The exhibition will thus provide a report at what has taken place at and in Czech and Slovak rural galleries, centres, farms, barns, old houses, cemeteries, churches, and chapels, as well as on the slopes and in the meadows. Some of the locations will also be introduced through interviews with the organisers and participants, as well as with the active involvement of local artists.
